Magazine

During the first year of my studies, we were given an exciting assignment: creating our very own magazine! Together with my group, we dove into the entire process, from brainstorming ideas to bringing the final product to life.

We started by selecting a topic and theme, and after a bit of back-and-forth, we settled on Dutch Design. Research became a key part of our journey, as we conducted interviews to gain insights and make our content shine. One of the highlights was visiting Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven, talk about inspiration overload! We left with a lot of material that would make our magazine stand out.

With all our ideas in place, we moved on to building our very first publication, which was exciting! We made sure there was enough engaging content, carefully crafted the layout, and refined the visuals. Each of us took on a specific graphic role to develop our expertise in InDesign, Illustrator, or Photoshop, I was all about Photoshop. I had a great time gaining more skills within the editting.

From putting together the pages to pitching our final product, every step was a chance to learn and grow. In the end, we were incredibly proud of what we had accomplished. It was an amazing introduction to the world of publishing, one filled with creativity, teamwork, and discovery.
